SPD 510 Discipline Process (GCU)
Introduction
When it comes to discipline in the classroom, each school has a code of conduct for their students. With each code of conduct comes disciplinary action for students who act out against these set codes. The Individuals with Disability Education Act (IDEA) placed regulation in their 2004 code that includes steps to which disciplinary actions to take with students with disabilities. The following paper will go over the case study of Charlie, a student with a learning disability who violated his schools code of conduct.
