SPED 530 Diagnostic Case Scenario (GCU)
Introductions
Scott, a 6 year old in 1st grade, is reported to be small for his age and in constant motion. Recently, Scott has exhibited some new behaviors including; hitting, throwing, biting, kicking, and disrespect towards parents (GCU, 2014). The first step in the scenario of Scott is to determine if these issues are purely behavioural or if something cognitively is contributing to Scott’s behaviour.
